Default Conv Passenger side seat belt issues

Anyone ever encounter passenger seat belt issues? It seems like belt is stuck, is it a big job to take panel off to get to unit?

Thx

No, it's not that big a job. A couple of screws, and unsnapping of covers is about it. Look up rear speaker removal in the diy section or video's. This will show what to unscrew, unsnap, etc., to give access to the seat belt spool. Have you tried sitting in the passenger seat and pulling very slowly? When you hear/feel a hard lock, then you are pulling too hard. Try to extract as much of the belt as possible until you have come to the (hopefully) folded belt section, which will stick in a different way than the inertia locks engaging from too quick a pull. When and if you come across a folded section from the spool, and it is visible, then reach down to the bottom of the belt near the spool housing and pull hard, but not fast, to free the folded section, then unfold and guide while retracting back into spool. If it is not folded it might have gathered a coin or some other contaminant, which will need to be removed with the panel and plastic cover off. Good Luck.
