Convertible Owners How Many Of You Put The Tonneau Cover On While Riding Topless ?
always - except for short drives when there is no pollen or dust and when I'm pretty sure I won't receive any droppings from trees.
The biggest nuisance is occasionally forgetting to take the tonneau off before I try to put the top up.

I use it virtually all of the times, and I put the top down at least 360 days a year. I don't like to see the top flopping in the wind without it. However, I find that at freeway speeds (or greater), air creeps under the cover and nearly pulls the cover off. Yesterday, I experimented with velcro straps that were just stuck on to the existing tabs and made long enough to reach the trunk liner which naturally attaches to the hook side of velcro. I also stuck a piece of the hook velcro onto the tab that gets tucked in behind the back seats as the same liner is there and the hook firmly attaches to it. I took the car up on the freeway up to about 85 mph and the improvement was remarkable. Today or tomorrow, I will have the velcro sewn on permanently as well as two additional side straps for the side gussets, and I will take pictures. I had originally expected to put the loop side velcro on the inside of the trunk to catch the hook side, but found it unnecessary as the hook attaches so firmly to the trunk liner. I will stick two pieces on the inside of the rear fender to catch the side gusset pieces.
Photos should be up tomorrow afternoon.

LOL...I guess everything is relative...putting the top up and down so easily is the reason I bought the Jag! My other convertible does take 1/2 hour (or more) for 2 persons to put up...and another 15 minutes for the tonneau cover! LOL
I use it when the weather is stable cuz it looks so good; Not a lot therefore in NL...
I put a towel roll inside the folded headliner, and there's allmost no flapping; When it start raining I can put the top up quickly because the towel roll simply drops on the floor under the rear window.
It does get dirty though, specially at the front facing areas.

I use it for highway trips and extended drives. However, my daily commute is short and I don't like leaving it in the lot all day with the top down, so I don't bother for the commute.
It does indeed make a difference in how clean it is. I have the tan headliner and you can see the dirt accumulate.

I usually take the extra minute or two to put the cover on, not so much because of the dirt or flapping headliner reasons, but because it simply looks better with the cover on. Off, sloppy, protruding side arms, not worthy of the otherwise sexy lines of the car.
top down - cover on always - looks so much better with the ivory cover against the blue jag as opposed to a blue jag with a tan headliner
Hey MRomanik - currently in SLC moving my daughter to college - will have to meet up one of these visits!

I second Xenophobe The remote top is just to easy, although if im leaving it down all day, I do put the cover on to protect the head liner. And especially since I sprayed it black with the duplicolor fabric paint, it looks great without the cover.
I'd like two covers to pop in the open section for a cleaner look.
