Default Convertible Top Hydraulic Hose Leak: What Model Years?

I'm doing a little research to see what model years of XK8's and XKR's are susceptible to the Hydraulic leak. If you've had the hydraulic line burst on you, please chose your model year car in the poll above. If you haven't been lucky enough to take the green shower, please don't vote.

Dangit! I put in two 2004's! Maybe one of the mods can fix it. I can't edit the poll.

And were you being serious, Doug, or where you just messing with me? LOL!

My 2000 had the hoses replaced 3 times in 106k miles. Should I vote 3 times?

And my '02 has had the hoses replaced once. The poll will not allow me to vote more than once.

Both my 99 and 06 hoses failed. I selected the 06 first but I could only vote once.

My hose did not fail, my ram leaked to the point the system would not operate. I still voted, however.

Poll edited, Doug you can now participate.

Then I won't vote - because I haven't had the problem - YET! But please post the results for the rest of us to see. Thanks, DaleD

Hey Matt, can you also edit the poll so people can vote more than once?

Dale, If you click "View Poll Results" at the bottom right of the poll you can see the results without voting.

Many thanks - I missed the link at first. Interesting that Jaguar never seems to have fixed the issue after that many years. DaleD

It seems weirder that no 97's or 98's are on the list yet.

I am wondering.... I have had my 99 XK8 for 3 months now and everything is working properly. How can one tell if maybe the hoses were already replaced from previous owner?

You need to keep in mind that many have not participated.

Mine never burst, 1 small drop appeared in the air bag sensor screen, after putting the top down. After taking it apart it had a small leak on the hose at the latch. Never had the green shower. I guess I lucked out.
