Default Coolant leak - Likely causes?

Just did a little inspection. Topped up my fluids for the time being until I feel like replacing them all. Noticed a coolant leak. Doesn't appear to be leaking from the reservoir or hose into the mechanics... so what does that leave me left to check and where?

I know it's not going to be anything major so I'm not too worried. It's been exposed to extreme cold over the winter as well a big variation in temperature over the past couple of weeks... from near summer temps to sub freezing temps in a matter of hours. I'm assuming a piece of rubber or plastic gave out as has happened on my Camaros in the past.

On my 06 the coolant leaking last year was from an Octopus hose. I took the easy way out and hired someone to change it. After seeing the parts, and where they go I was very glad I hadn't tried it.

Of course there is also the radiator hoses and thermostat housing issues - These are easier to reach.

'Rent' a set of coolant system test equipment from a local auto parts store. Pump it up cold and the source of the leak will be evident.

Thanks guys.

I used the pressure test kit, three times and got no results.

I had the car safetied yesterday and while it was up on the lift, checked... no evidence of a leak.

There's been no more puddles in the driveway and the level looks to be holding now. Not sure what that's all about.

Well it's been a month and the leak reappeared. Took the car in to check on the oil leak and had him seek the coolant leak as well. He tightened a clamp at the front he said was a little loose. If the leak persists the culprit will be the water pump.

Was able to settle down and do a little work. Turns out I had a few loose hoses. Everything I could reach and tighten, I did. Every screw, every clamp, every cap and bolt. All tightened.

The water pump had a bum seal in it. New water pump = no leaks.
