Coolant Pressure Tester - solved
I've been meaning to post this for a while now, just stumbed across the link again so here you go.
I had a hell of a time finding a coolant pressure tester that would fit the strange opening on my 1998 xk8. None of the auto store adapters would work, so I researched it and found this one. It connects perfectly to a standard pressure bayonette fitting with a small modification - you will need a rubber gasket for the connections (see photo).
Now the gasket is from Lowes hardware, but like I said a small mod is needed - the gasket's OD (outer diameter) is 2 inches. The connector requires 1 7/8 inch. This is an unusual size but I found an ez way to make due.
Pulled out my belt sander. Plugged her in turned her on and held this washer loosely in between my thumb and forefinger at its center. I gently touched the outer edge of the washer to the running belt sander and gripped the washer with just enough force to allow it to spin against the sandpaper but at a slower speed. As you can imagine this quickly and perfectly knocked the washer's OD to 1 7/8 inches in seconds. Fits perfectly.
Once it is all assembed, you do need to clamp the hose that exits from the rear of the neck with a vicegrip. It is flexable hose, no damage done, small pressure needed.
I don't remember seeing many posts about this that weren't centered on renting the tools, I'd rather own it, and frankly I had a real tough time finding something with the exact same fitting our over flow tanks use. This one works perfectly, so use it if you choose it.

This is the box from Amazon.
This is the specific gasket you need to complete and perfect the seal. Package from Lowes.

The Jaguar radiator pressure tester adaptor is the same as for a Ford. The adaptor is available both for the radiator header tank, and the radiator cap on line for about $30:00 for the pair.
This set will work for both the X100 and X150, be aware the X150 radiator system pressure is 30psi, you will need a pressure tester that will go that high.

I bought a spare cap on amazon for $12. Drilled a hole right thru the middle, shoved a presta valve in from the back from an old bicycle tube and then jb welded it all. Worked great as a pressure tester. Found my leaky hose in about 30 seconds. Now, why I waited 2 weeks looking and looking for the leak to no avail before using the pressure cap is the big mystery.
