Default Cost for front and rear struts/shocks - Good deal or not?

Hey there - first time user to this forum. Jag owner for 7 years. My XK8 has 86K miles. I just had front and rear shocks replaced. They also replaced some kind of housing in the front lower part of the engine that was leaking water. Total bill was $1444. That seemed reasonable but I wanted to see what you guys thought. They used original jag parts.

Thanks!

I just had an independent shop here in OKC quote replacing the front struts and sway bar bushings. Using Jag parts, they were at $1400. But this was only the front of the car, not the back.

Just FYI

Im not sure if they replaced the sway bar or not. .... I have been going to this guy for awhile though. He's always been good for the most part. I was just curious. Seems like he gave me a good deal. He should! I've put in almost 10K in the last 3 years. The big one was when I blew my engine and dropped two cylinders due to the serpentine belt falling off and I thought I could still get it home....nope, dummy me overheated the engine and it died. What an expensive lesson I learned. .... runs and rides like a new car now though.
