Help if you guys can, My steering wheel bottons have stopped working. One operates the cruise control and the other the volume of the radio and select stations,,, I have removed every fuse on the car but cannot find a bad fuse. If you guys have any ideas please let me know..... 2002 xk8 love this car but just when i think im finished working on it.... Some thing else goes wrong......

The steering wheel airbag cover should be removed. Check for broken wires or connectors that might have become undone. If all is well, it may be the clockspring behind the steering wheel that transfers the electrical signals to the rotating steering wheel that has failed.

Follow the safety procedures in JTIS when removing the airbag.

 

Will try that tomorrow , funny how things just seem to fall apart on these xk8s. Just got through replaceing every coolant hose on this unit, all were dry rot can u belive that . This car isnt that old for that to be happening...... and now this. It might be haunted ....... lol
