mx5 cteck charger. hi guys, as used with battery charger connected or remove negative? some experience in our XKR 1998 to 2002 'tips are appreciable' respected electronics our cats

I leave the CTEK battery harness for my XS7000 permanently connected to the battery terminals.
No need to disconnect the battery - just hook up the CTEK charger but don't run the engine with the charger connected.

If you are using the CTEK 'comfort connector' with the round eyelets (see red circled example), this is designed for permanent connection to the battery terminals:

Be very careful when making the connections NOT to short +ve to -ve battery terminals.
