In dash volmeter warning light
Ok, so I know that the voltmeter isn't the finest gauge ever produced but I had a quick question, as the car is new to me.
When I have the key in the accessory position, the red warning light comes on. It seems to read right about 12v and the light never comes on once started, so I am curious if this is normal.
Main reason I ask is that it has started requiring about 3 cranks to really turn over and am wondering if it may be linked. The previous owner said it had been sitting for awhile so maybe the battery is going. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

That's normal. However, a weak battery can cause all kinds of gremlins. Most auto supply outfits will be more than happy to check your battery.
