decreased performance
Yesterday afternoon after cranking my car, I noticed a bit of a jump in the car, like it was idling heavy. It was hotter than heck so I checked my exterior temp gauge and it read 101F. My top had been up so I figured that was why of course. It was actually 87F outside. I turned off all my stuff...AC and radio and headed out. I noticed a reading on my gauge "Decreased performance" and then unrolled my windows for some air. Within a few minutes the exterior gauge read 91F and the decreased performance reading went off. Any ideas? I didn't think that the temp inside should interfere with the performance of the car. All the other gauges looked fine. Thanks.
The 'restricted performance' message is invoked by many different faults.
Do you have an OBDII reader?...you should hook one up and see if any fault codes were stored in the car's computer from when the fault occurred, then post the code(s) here for advice.

We have tried two readers and neither one wants to diagnose the car. We have checked all the fuses to see if that is why it isn't reading. I will keep trying and will let you know.
