Did I find the perfect rear wing for the XK8?
I think it does exactly what you wanted. It matches the angles of the decklid and isn't a distraction. I look forward to the finished product. Individuality should always be lauded. After all, what is more fun than going to a weekend car "show" and seeing a rotary Vanagon, or a small block in a Courier pickup? The Fiero sounds like a unique project.
So, if we agree that this wing has horrible aeroD, then it seems you are willing to use drag to produce your downforce. (adding drag at the upper rear of the car will produce downforce by simple geometry)
Next, if you have the skills/time/tools to make a spoiler or wing, why not do that? It will like work better and look better. (sorry, but close is only OK for horseshoes and hand grenades, and atomic devices) The curves do not match. (you said you want style, not BFU) And I'm not that picky.
BTW, you asked.

But gee you guys are brutal.
I don't think this wing has "horrible aero", I'm just aware that it's not going to make a ton of downforce. If I had not found this one I *would* have made one from scratch, but that takes a ton of time & I have so many other things to do to this car before paint. I'll add: you're probably not going to like the paintjob I have in mind either (lace stripes). I think it does exactly what you wanted. It matches the angles of the decklid and isn't a distraction. Annnd I'm also trying to get as much done as I can on the Z car too & doing a few things to other projects along the way. Not to mention repair/paint work to make a few bucks.
What Fiero are you curious about? The custom, or the lightweight, or the Indy (It's all original), or were you thinking about the VW Cabriolet with Fiero suspension/running gear & SBC ( that's the most unique of the bunch)?

brutal ? You should read what the grandma’s have to say about each others work over on the quilting forum. They will gut you and leave you out to dry as a matter of course.
Back to the “wing”, downforce is there mainly to keep the rear end planted in the corners. A car has to be going triple digits (mph) before any substantial downforce is created. Will you really be using the car hard enough to be going over 100 mph in the turns ? If so, my hat is off to you.
if not, then any wing attachment is solely a styling feature. And I hasten to add that there’s nothing wrong with that. Stick whatever you like on the rear, and even balance it it out with a chin spoiler to really make the naysayers squirm.
your car, your business.
It's not a sports car. The X100s are Grand Touring Cars
I think what makes them cool and drop dead sexy is the understated beautiful clean lines, retro styling and plenty of classy touches all around so a spoiler just isn't on my list. However, it's your car go crazy. lol
