Thanks for the feedback. Looks like Mobil 1 75W-140 synthetic gear oil is reasonably priced at my local NAPA, and it meets the GL-5 specs that you referenced. The forum threads I have read through this morning indicate that 1.5 to 2 quarts is the typical refill amount. So if Wayne and I decide to tackle this job come autumn, I may go with this Mobil 1 product....

 

your post is a couple of years old , so maybe you’ve had the opportunity to see one since then. If not, you are welcome to swing up to Oklahoma and see mine. Barring that, I’ll honk as a drive by the Florida panhandle.
