Default Directional Signal Audio

I have a 1997 Xk8 coupe. I find the audio indicating that the turn signals are on is hard to hear. I don't like being that "idiot" driving down the road with blinkers on, going straight for miles. Is there anyway to increase the volume of the audio of the turn signal indicator.
Thanks in advance

Head to Radio Shack and ask for their electronic chime unit: Model: 273-071 Catalog #: 273-071 It is $10.00

You can wire it right in where the current speaker is. In my opinion it does not sound nearly as nice but it should do the job.

Thanks Scott for the information. I now have the Radio Shack 'thing-a-ma Jig' in hand. I am at a loss of what to do with it next. Could you be kind enough to give me some guidance of where to go from here.

Jusrt saw your note Ron. The speaker is inside the cowl behind the steering wheel - it will come apart with 2 screws as I recall. You can access the speaker on the right side.

2 of the wires on the chime go together, the third is separate. The instructions are in the package - I believe it is blue/black together and white separate. You can temporarily attach each to the connector feeding the speaker or posts on the speaker itself.

Insert the key and the chime should begin to sound.
