Default Does it work...?

Hi
Has anybody experience with key fobs from ebay...some state it only takes 30 sec to programme a new key...with instructions. If it is that easy, why don't car thiefs just not buy a new key... for any car?

Best

Frank

I think that programming requires that you have a valid key to start with. So you are just duplicating what you already have.

$6 for 2 Ford Compatible Key fobs work, but only for the Later X100's.

What year is your car?

I bought a $38 remote FOB for my 2005 from EBAY. I already had a 2nd key but no remote. Took me 30 seconds to program but you need to unlock the car and get in to program it.

Default eBay key fob

Got one on eBay @ $39.00. Programmed it(actually my friend did it while I sat in the car and watched). Works fine. Have to program all at the same time if you have more than one.

I saw in another thread you have a '98. The cheap E-bay remotes (or the nicer flip key style) will not work with your car.

You need a Jag specific one.
