Just wondered if they would match up (same model year 2003) with my Cup holder
armrest for a replacement, they do look the same, been checking out Ebay

Can't say about the XJ8 arm rest fitting an XK8, but the first thing to always consider is re-using what you have. That way you know it fits.

It''s relatively simple to take the arm rest out, rip into it, re-pad it and re-leather it. If you can't find a upholstery garage/shop to do it, it is DIY-able - just check out fellow forum member rothwell's threads on how he learnt to do these jobs. Link below. His results are spectacular. I'm inspired to try it on my arm rest.

I did this as well., There are kits available on Ebay to recover the armrest, and you can buy new replacement cupholder mechanisms on ebay or Amazon. A side benefit, if you have the coupe, is that the old armrest material makes a good starting point to recover the Third Brake Light assy.

 

YES - an X308 will fit an XK8.

Cupholder type to cupholder type requires no further modifications. Because I dislike cupholders, I moved the same plain one from an X300 to an X308 and then to an XK8, putting the original cupholder ones back when I sold the vehicles. The cupholder pattern uses a different catch to the plain version but the catches in the centre console are also interchangeable.
