Door glass not working correctly
After setting glass close position passenger side does not function properly. It pops down to clear convertible top while opening. As soon as you release the handle the glass pops up and then will not close. Any suggestions?
Seet button from inside down hold 5 seconds and same for up. Window tops up and down correctly. When I open door from inside or outside window drops 3/16" to clear weather stripping. Problem when I take hand off door handle the window does not satay at the 3/16th drop. It goes back up to the original stop position and the door will not close because the window will not clear the weather strip.

Thanks EZED, earlier years tied the puddle light to the microswitch, so that in conjunction with the dash read-out (DRIVER DOOR OPEN) could be used to diagnose.
Looks like you've got it covered though. I don't recall if you need to hold the window in a raised or partial raised position for this job. If not file this away:
Easy way to securely hold window in any raised position when disconnected from regulator arms - just grab a Stanley type trigger clamp, some call it a bar clamp. The soft rubber grabs the glass gently, ez to set clamp force without worrying about overdoing it. One clamp pad on each side, window can't drop.
