Tuesday while driving through a thunderstorm, I hit a puddle and went on Mr Toad's wild ride. No damage to the car, but had to sit 2 hrs in the rain waiting for a tow truck and was sick on top of that, But, I make it home and I open the door and the car starts beeping, I shut the door and it stopped. I then tried to open the trunk and car started beeping again and then 'Valet Mode' started coming up on the display, so I hit the unlock button and nothing, so I used my key on both the trunk and doors and I can lock and unlock them all, but the car stays in valet mode, other than disconnecting the battery, is there any other way to disable valet mode?

Unlocking the trunk with the key is supposed to disengage valet mode, but obviously that isn't happening. Are you certain the valet button isn't stuck? If it's not, it sounds like a connector has gotten wet and shorted the valet wire somewhere.

 

I pressed it once, did not seem to be sticking and I have enough wiring woes without this, hope it is just a stuck button.
