Door Locks
1998 XK8 I can only lock or unlock the doors manualy with the key or inside pushing on the handles. The drivers door does not lock/unlock the pass. door.
The remote will open the trunk, turn on the lights, and turn the alarm on/off.
When I sit inside and press the lock or unlock on the remote I here a clicking inside both doors, but the handles do not move.
I have read through most of the posts and have come up with the relay must not be sending the correct voltage to the locks.
Does this sound right?
Everybody here sounds like they know what they are talking about, so I thought I would ask before I take it apart.
thanks for all the help.

Yes, the door relay in the passenger side (USA) of the dash is a likely candidate for the problem as you have described it.

I had the same problem in my 99 XK8 coupe, dealer fixed it with a fuse replacement; didnt tell me where the fuse is located.
Also, before the fuse we tried a reset procedure, insert key (maybe the valet key) turn it clockwise twice; maybe just a fantasy. I do know there is a reset procedure for the window.
