Smile Dr. Colorchip

I bought a Colorchip kit for my wife's Lexus, and I have most of the solvent for removing the excess paint left. Has anyone tried combining the Colorchip solvent with factory tough-up paint? It would be a lot less money to just buy touch-up paint from the dealer than a separate Colorchip kit for my XK8.

I have done that, and I don't think there is any difference in the paint.

Default OEM paint

The solution for cleaning the Dr. Colorchip paint smear does not work with the factory touch-up paint. It does not remove the smeared paint from around the repaired area.

Sorry to read that. It was not factory paint that I used it on, but another brand of touchup paint, and I can't find the bottle now.
