Default Driver Seat Removal

Need to remove the driver seat but cannot figure out how to remove the plastic trim piece covering the mounting rail. I think I have tracked several gremlins to an issue with the wires under the seat. Trying to remove the plastic trim resulted in the seat back reclining when wiggling the trim and also the trunk release operated while twisting the trim? No contact with the switches.

Hi Rex, this guy is a bit of an X100 guru. It is a great video and covers the whole lot. 👌

Regards and good luck, Smithy 👍

Thank you. Worked perfectly! Trim was held by industrial strength double sided tape which required the insertion of a putty knife to break the bond.

The strange electrical gremlins such as lateral force on the seat rail would open the trunk or recline the seat are fixed - found over $12 in small change under the seat with obvious electrical activity on some of the pennies! Gremlins fixed but still no clue why the seat heater does not work.
