I had to replace my Drivers door mirror with a good used unit from Auto reserve. The issue i have is the mirror presses against the window when it folds back, and with the window down it returns past where the window would be. There is no problem in the open position(stops where it should) .Is there any way of altering the position without doing any damage?. Many thanks. Anthony.

 

There's no simple adjustment process. As it unfolds to the correct position, it would appear that the stop point is damaged allowing an excessive range of movement or the microswitch arrangement is dislodged, or both?

I've dealt with AutoReserve a few times, the latest this morning when they got mixed up with some wheel nut sizes, and have always found them very cooperative with solving problems. I would suggest you contact them, explain the problem and propose a replacement, though powerfold versions can be a bit difficult to come by!
