Hi guys,
If I had a factory installed block heater on my XK, where would I find the plug? I'm heading north next week and may need to plug in (temps well in the minus!)
Will be bringing the battery charger as well!

The Block Heater is fitted to the LH of the cylinder block replacing the cylinder block drain plug.
The right angled piece is a harness connector to the Block Heater Harness (item 11):

The end of this Block heater Harness must be secured to the inner wing to facilitate connection to a power supply.
I'll be amazed if you have a Block Heater fitted!

My S-type has a factory fitted block heater. The plug was well concealed in the lower corner of the grill on the drivers side. Only found it by accident.
Never needed to use it, lowest temps the car has seen is -31*C.

That's good to know! Temp right now is -25C!
Just bought a magnetic block heater, so I'll plug in when I get there.
Well good news is I did not subject my XK to sub-zero temperatures, the winter tires I ordered (Falken euro winters) didn't arrive in time. Used the wife's Honda and have now bought myself one (97 CRV) to keep out in the wastelands of northern Alberta! CRV runs great!
Meanwhile, the Falken Eurowinters are doing a fine job of keeping me out of the ditches around town and a Christmas visit with family in Vancouver over the Coquihalla (anyone watching Highway Through Hell on Discovery Channel? That's the road!) where many trucks and SUVs were in the ditch, some on their roofs!
I would recommend the Falken winters do anyone crazy enough to drive their XK in winter, $950 Canadian taxes in!
