Dynamic balancer
In the middle of getting the tensioners on the 1997 XK8 checked. 85000 mile! They are the originals, no rattling – but thought I best get them done. Found the water pump leaking slightly so taking the opportunity to replace.
Should I change the dynamic balancer? – I am told they are FORD type and these types are prone to fail after 100000 mile. Nothing mentioned on the posts that I can find. I would hate to rebuild, just to tear down in a few years.
Do it right the first time - cheaper in the long run.
