Default EBS Redstuff...

I had hawk pads on my XKR 100 and they were squealing like a stuck pig. I swapped them out with EBS Redstuff pads and the difference is night and day. The car stops MUCH better and there is NO SQUEALING at all.

These Redstuff pads are outstanding. I'd recommend them to everyone.

I been running on the EBS Redstuff pads for two years and like you said there are quiet and I also noticed that the car seemed to stop better.Next thing I want to do is run stainless steel covered hoses to the calipers.

Default Brake dust

How bad is the brake dust from these pads? The stock pads are horrible!

AB, in this order, I had the OEM ones, then the EBC reds, then finally to Akebono ceramics.

OEM say a 10 on the dust scale, the EBCs were a 5, the akebonos a 1

However, if you like spirited driving, with equally responsive braking, the EBC reds were stickier than my Akebono ceramics. Though I don't push my braking, it wasn't a factor in my decision. For you, however, it may.

The Reds look cool behind the wheels however...

I can vouch for the EBC Redstuff pads
Had them on my X type and the stoppimg power was like night and say compared to OEM stock pads as was the brake dust. There was very little generated by the Redstuff pads. Quite a few of the memberbase has cchanged to these pads over the last few years and pretty much most of them have positive comments on them.
Also heard good things from more than a few on the Akebono pads too, so its all down to personal choice I guess!

Funny, I have totally different experience with the EBC RedStuff (with the Brembo 355mm)). First of all the OEM pads had the best bite, but also terrible dust.

I then used Redstuff, and the dust was much less, but the bad part, they bite a lot less. They also need to be very warm also before they start biting well. The lack of braking power could also be from the smaller surface area, not sure, but will never buy/recommend these. EBC recommended Yellow stuff to me for good braking power. On paper these look indeed better.

I then moved to Hawk Ceramics, and this answered it all, good braking power (also from cold) and low dusting.

I am now on my 3rd set already, can highly recommend these.
