Electrical nightmare! 2003 xkr
You are having an electrical nightmare and you haven't checked a fundamental part of the electrical system. Your code reader won't tell you why the sat nav isn't working, but a multimeter or a test bulb will. Now I know you are going to say the sat nav isn't that important to you, but in my opinion its daft not to start fault finding with something so obvious and easy to test - it might be nothing, or it might be a problem with that entire section of the fusebox. It's just such an obvious place to start testing, before worrying about the mysterious black boxes and network cables.
Not confident with electrics which is why i havent checked the relays. Yet.
As they say , if you don't know you don't know but I will persevere.
The easiest way to check if the relay is playing up, is to buy a new one and swap it. No harm in having a spare to hand anyway.
If you haven't got a test light, get a cheap one like this - it makes checking fuses easy:-
Morning, I checked the battery this morning as per zrays advice and got 12.8v so all good there. Took the car for a run and the gearbox fault issue has dissapeared. Still got no sat nav, dsc fault, cruise unavailable , abs and speedo working on and off.
only code showing p1000.
I havent investigated further or tested relays as i was testing the other car.

I was working on my (2003 XKR) antilock brake module. I got distracted and forgot to plug the harness back into the module before I took it out for a test drive.
Having that module disconnected caused similar issues as you’re describing. The first thing I noticed was the speedometer not working.
I would advise to check the connector(s) to the ABS module and make sure it/they are plugged in properly.

I had exact the isues you are describing... and then some.. on my 2003 XK.
It boiled down to this before i got peace of mind;
-Bought and replaced the two microswitches on the brake contact assy, i got warnings on brakelight and DTC all the time.. tried with an other used contact.. but no help.. microswithces was 2 dollar each.
-Replaced battery to a full spec AGM battery.
-Found out that the generator was acting up, caused the gearbox to disconnect the electronic control (not fun if it happens at speed on the highway), so it got replaced. (cooling duct was missing, due to the fact that the generator does not have an internal fan, and are placed next to exhaust manifold il guess the regulating electronics goes nuts..
-The electrical connector on the gearbox was full of oil; messed up the CAN bus between engine, gearbox and god knows what more -cleaned it out.. (when you buy a new gearbox oil fiter, a new recepticle with new seals for the electrical plug usually comes with it -XK gearbox)
-When struggling with the ABS unit, i discovered that the big contact was contaminated with some kind of fluid, my guess is that i might have been "contact grease" of some kind that 20 years down the road had degraded.. got cleaned out.
After this ordeal, the warnings went silent. I still have not got rid of my P1000 code, but the MOT in sweden only care abbout permanent fault codes. Il guess it will clear itself eventually (suspect its time for O2 sensors)
