Default Engine boost access

I am considering adding a water/methanol injection system to my car. where does one tap into the boost pressure? Do you have to add a sensor? Does it have a plumbed line to tap into, or is there a digital sensor already installed?
Thanks.

Look at the S/C outlet pipe (the part that says V8 on it). On the right side, there is a hose fitting that runs to the fuel pressure sender at the front of the right hand fuel rail. I T-ed into that to connect my boost gauge.

If you are using a boost pressure to run the water system, you will need to add an external sensor but if you haven't bought it yet, I would recommend looking at a controller that can run off of the MAF sensor line instead.

Boost is non-linear in a S/C application and the MAF signal gives you better control of the amount of water being sprayed and lets you vary it by engine load rather than just pressure.

I did a write up of my experience here:

As an aside, I remember another member (JgaXkr) mentioning not too long ago that he had a Snow Performance setup that he was willing to sell.

Does the Eaton in the pic come with the Snow kit?

Curious what made you stop using it?

No one will smog my car with any visible mods under the hood, even if it runs cleaner out the pipe than stock.

I think I am going to simply use a nitrous kit that is easily removed for smog and just keep it simple. A 125 hp NOS kit will easily get me into the low 12s 1/4 mile.

No, unfortunately that blower is not for sale at this time. It was purchased from someone as "completely rebuilt", but arrived with damaged rotors, so it looks like it needs to be rebuilt. Rather disappointing.

That's a pain. Around here they don't even look under the hood, the just run the test and if it passes, all is well.

Glad to hear it wasn't because of problems, I put a Snow stage II on my car not that long ago.

That's a shame, hope you've got some recourse.
