I just drove 117 miles without a hitch. Not super smooth running at idle but no matter for now. It was nice to have a nice long drive.

Default Thans to all in this thread!

I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate this forum and ESPECIALLY THIS THREAD!

First the battery went bad..so I assumed that might fix the issue...NOPE....

My wife's 97 XK8 has been all over the place w sporadic codes and failures. I pulled the ECU and VOILA! a leaky capacitor! THANKS A MILLION EVERYONE!I'll be shipping the ECU off for repair ASAP; if I can't find one reasonably priced at parts store tomorrow.

Also in another thread, w dead battery I couldn't get trunk open. Didn't see a keyhole between X+K on badge but saw hole fore it in logo..my brilliant wife suggested maybe someone moved it to keep water out or to hide it...sure enough; they badge was over the keyhole ! BUT without the forum I probably never would have known all this stuff!
