Refund received last night from AE, it was a bad show from them to first say, "there is no problem and the fault can't be replicated" and then change the story to "ohh, the software isn't supported on your cable".

I'll spend the refund on a Mongoose cable, I have seen them advertised for as little as £15.

At least they came clean in the end and gave you a refund. A hassle sure, but could have ended worse.

So you are aware, SDD is a largely a Java application and you will likely have to run the software in a WinXP virtual machine or on an old PC.

I recently upgraded the diagnostic PC to something halfway recent with lots of memory and a fast processor. Who boy is SDD is more pleasant to use now.
