Attached is the error message after I tried to reprogram the key fob

 

the pairing procedure is to be repeated 5 times to succeed, even with 1 fob.
either, 5 different fobs or 1 fob 5 times or 1 fob 2 times + the next fob 3 times.

 

I've tried it five times. I tried each button five times. Do you mean for each button the procedure has to be done five times? The only thing I get from my fob is a beep and the front lights turn on and off.

 

Bruce, replied to your other posting. I've heard this five times advice from different people, so there's go to be some validity to it. But that hasn't been my experience on my 04 XKR. I have four fobs, and have had to program the lot on a couple different occasions. Once I get into program mode, I hit one button on the first fob, hear a beep from the car, then move on to the next fob, hit one button, move on. When I'm done with the last fob, I just wait until the car times out. Turn the key off and remove and all is well. Good luck.
