Hey Lads,

My XK8 is parked at a friends house right now while I borrow his van to do some work.
Recently I have been building my own exhaust system for the car and I am all the way back to the last bends and mufflers.
So, in a fit of creativity, I have decided to try and put a set of Ducati motorcycle mufflers on the end. Ducati 848 cans to be exact.
Found a set of stock ones for cheap on line and I am set to press the purchase button but I am unsure about the width of the cans vs. the width of the cutouts on the rear bumper cover?
Can someone give me an approximate width of those cutouts? Don't need the vertical, just a width to make sure that I would not need to cut the cover to make these cans squeeze in there.

The bottom end of that cutout section measures approximately 7.5 inches across. The top end of that cutout section measures approximately 5.5 inches across. This is on my wife's 2006 XK8....
