Expansion Tank
Well...YAY! My nephew changed out the expansion tank on my ‘97 Xk8 yesterday. He researched the forum extensively(Graham!), squirreled away all the info. He said that some of it didn’t make sense until he got his hands into the fray. Had a fluid exchange pump to remove coolant from reservoir....I like my turkey baster , so it stayed in the kitchen. Laughed about that clip that tends to fly, but it didn’t get away from him. Ended up replacing two hose clamps with the type that have a small screw to tighten. All looks good....
one more thing off my list.
Thank you Forum!

@Rosevillesister, +1 on posting in the X100 forum.
Whenever replacing hose clamps, stay with what was originally fitted to the vehicle. If a coolant hose is connected to a plastic fitting or pipe, constant tension clamps must be used to avoid having the plastic connection fail. Refrain from using jubilee or worm style hose camps on connections to plastic parts.
