but when you research the underlying company...

You find it's got no independent best rating and multiple lawsuits alleging fraud.
Any reputable extended warranties worth considering??

I've had three extended warranties the past 20 years or so and they have always at least paid for themselves dollar-wise (without any engine/tranny failures), and given me quite a bit of peace of mind against the major failures.

Preferred Warranty is my latest extended one on the 2002 I recently purchased. I've heard from my indy shop they're really good, and the Jag dealerships accept them also.

 

They are only available via a dealership...Dealership I bought this from did not carry anything that would cover the Jag.

 

I've had 2 extended warranties with AAautoProtection and have found them to be very good.

Remember that the cost of the extended warranty is negotiable. I had EasyCare Gold and it fixed several important items. It expired before the ZF5 HP24 went bad after 100,000 mi.
