Default Failed Emissions / Mode 06 Data Question

Hey all, have a question specifically about some Mode 06 data I got on my 1999 XK8.

My car recently failed emissions because my monitors for O2, Catalyst, Evap, and Continuous Component were not ready. I have driven 300+ miles since the test and still the tests are not ready.

I do not have a check engine light, but after looking through Mode 06 data, my software (OBD Auto Doctor) says I did have a "Manufacturer Specified Component $11 / $07-Minimum Sensor Voltage for test cycle (calculated)" Failed result on a value of 0.200V.

Hoping someone can help me decipher that since I cant seem to find an answer via google. Is it the reason those tests will not complete?

At some point in the past all those monitors were set OK. What happened to clear them? (They don't self-clear.)

How are the fuel trims?

Try smoke test, incl. evap.

Thanks for the thoughts.

I had the car shipped across the U.S. And they disconnected the battery during the transport which reset the monitors obviously.

Fuel trims look ok I think...long terms are steadier around 6% and short terms are more variable but says they average around 3% . Does that sound about normal?

Sadly yes, as if they were out at idle it's quite easy.

You may need to control various of the valves etc during a smoke test - sort of thing beyond most DIYers. Try a good jag tech...

I think it is worth a try to replace the Purge Valve, a fairly easy job, and not that expensive even if you pay an independent shop to do it.

The newer version also adds a filter (simply plumb a small fuel filter to it). Of course every case may be different, that said I had the same problem with my 2000 XK8 and it turned out to be a bad purge valve which of course kept the EVAP from running, but it also kept other monitors from completing too. The bad purge valve did not set a DTC.
