Default Fascia Fuse Box

Although I have the fuse chart for my 2001 XKR, could someone tell me how the fascia fuse box is numbered. Do the fuse numbers run from 1-9 on the left bank and 10-18 on the right bank, or do they run horizontaly 1-2, 3-4 etc.
Hope this doesn't sound as daft as it looks to me
Andy

They numbers next to the fuses and you can match them up. A small torch light and a little Magnifing lens can be of help

Jeez - that's impressive! I can barely make out the little white numbers on the fuses let alone see any on the carrier.

1-9 top to bottom on the left bank and 10-18 top to bottom on the right bank.

Thank you Graham and Charlie. Now I know what order they are in I will look again, but I don't think there is any correlation between what is there and what is listed on my fuse chart. The fuse ratings all seem different to the chart.

This is the listing I have for the UK 2001MY:

DRIVER'S SIDE (RH)

PASSENGER SIDE (LH)

Is this the same as the list you have?

Fuse numbers can also be found in the electrical diagrams (see section 1).

Here is a 2001 XK8/R diagram link on Gus' website:

Hi Graham, yes, that is the same one I have. Unfortunately, I don't have the actual book, but I did download what I think is the correct one with the supplements.

WhiteXKR, thanks for that, that looks as though that is going to be a useful document to have at some point! I've had a brief look at the power distribution diagram and it does seem that this diagram corresponds with the fuse chart I have and that Graham looked up. I think I have to have a good look at all the fuses to make sure they are as they are supposed to be.
Have you had the chance to think any more about the audio issue?
Thanks,
Andy.

If the two audio fuses on the pasenger side are OK, and the battery is OK, and the reset has been tried, the next step would be to pull the headuit and confirm it is getting power.

If it is, and the radio refuses to turn on, you may have a defective head unit.

I am assuming all along you have a Jaguar factory headunit. It you have an aftermarket one, there is usually another fuse inline with the wiring harness.
