Tooth sender and connect to iPad is this true and what do I need

You cannot use an OBD2 reader that has bluetooth and use it with an iphone or ipad, the apple bluetooth stack is slightly different than standard. If you are going to use an ipad, you need a wifi enabled OBD2 reader. They cost about the same roughly. Amazon has plenty.

 

The best is the dealer tool but for ordinary use see the previous reply.
