Default Finally got my jtis working!

Beating a dead horse here but I finally got my jtis working. I had a burned cd copy of the whole system from back in 2008 when I had an xtype. I couldn’t get it to work on any of my laptops or pcs, so I dug out my girlfriends old asus laptop which originally came with windows 7 home pro…
but it was wiped out and had win 10 installed! DOH! Brought it to a local guy who put in a solid state drive, more ram, and reinstalled win 7. He even installed the jtis program and had it up a running when I picked it up, total cost was 80 bucks but I threw him a hundred for doing it all in one day. Now I have a working jtis again on a laptop in the garage and I’m thrilled! If anyone is in desperate need of some info off it let me know, I’ll help anyway I can!

I have an old Dell laptop with Windows 7 that my wife found on eBay for $35 many years ago. I keep it exclusively to run my JTIS CD on....

I just use the PDF version of JTIS and use the search bar to look for whatever it is I need. No ancient windows pc needed.

However, I’ve tried to get IDS working on my Mac using Windows XP emulated on Virtual Box and it just doesn’t work. Although I suspect the issue is that I have to use a USB-A to USB-C adapter for the Mongoose cable.

I got it years ago from one of the stickies. I don't know if it's still there.

statutory reminder that I posted a complete pre built virtual machine with JTIS including virtualbox setup guide in the JTIS sticky post so anyone can run JTIS on up to date systems including Mac users

Yeah I read through the sticky post about it, but I’m not that computer tech savvy, more like tech helmeted.
