Does anyone know a part number for a Ford 12-volt battery that will replace the Jaguar battery in my 2006 XK8?? Thanks

Actually, it goes right next to the 11-volt battery in the trunk!! (Sorry for the typo...I have corrected the thread to show "12-volt" battery)

I don't know the answer to your question, but I can point out that an Interstate or a DieHard will work fine as long as you get the right form factor (size) and ratings for cold start amps, etc. The battery is critical in these cars. A lot of guys are going to the new AGM batteries. That's a whole 'nother story.

Thanks. I found an Autocraft andDuralast that appear to be direct replacements for the Jag battery; will check out Interstate ad Die Hard as well.

The Bosch 49/850B vented battery that Pep Boys sells also works well in these cars. I run this battery in my wife's 2006 XK8. You can usually find a $25 or $30 coupon on pepboys.com. Be sure to turn your old battery in so you will not have to pay a core charge. And be sure that the new battery comes with the necessary vent pipe. Many retailers forget to provide them if they are not taped to the new battery as part of the deal....
