ford tensioner discontinued?

ford tensioner discontinued?
So I need to replace the tensioners on the replacement XK8 for the one totaled in January. I went online and it shows 2W9Z6K254CA left tensioner as discontinued under Ford and Lincoln but available under Mercury.
Why would that be?
