Default Forte Seal Conditioner. Repairs Valve Stem Seals

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? I have isolated a problem with a leaking valve seal and would spend $50 on this gladly before taking a head off. I am certain my issue is a valve seal and not rings. from the youtube videos as well as the article this stuff softens up dry seals and in most cases, fixes or at least reduces any issues. I have no issues on startup or normal driving (level ground) literally ever (not even once). What happens is I live in Colorado and when I am on I-70 in the mountains going downhill the car will blow oily smoke when I hit the gas when coming off 6-8% grades that last for about 4 miles or more. Anyways, can you guys see any downside to this stuff? Thanks ahead of time

It needs fixing properly. No sealant will fix the problem.

Are ya sure it's the seals? Sounds like it could be getting oil in the breather plumbing somehow and getting sucked into the intake. Any evidence of it in the intake tubing? You did say it happens on a downhill grade so I'm suspicious of the oil sloshing to the front. More investigation is needed I think. my .02, TM

Ill pull off the intake tonight but 2 separate mechanics one of which is exclusively Jaguars said steep prolonged grades with oil smoke is a dead giveaway of a valve seal especially when compression is good - stay tuned

Can’t you replace the seals without removing the cylinder head ?

There are several techniques for holding the valves in place while the springs (and seals) are removed. A Google search should be informative.

Its not a sealer its a rubber expander and softener .Increases volume about 4%.. I have it in mine at 110K to soften the crank oil seals as a precaution. forte is a reputable brand made in south Africa but you may find it cheaper in the us like STP. check the air filter box if you got oil stripe on the filter you know its from the rocker box. You could try a temporary catch can . 4 miles is a long time for smoke from oil seals as oil would be washed from the back of the valves by the injector .

As far as 4 miles goes I should have clarified - I do not need to hit the case for about 4 miles because of the continuous grade

What does Liqui Moly oil saver do?

Maintains and regenerates rubber and plastic seals in the engine oil circuit of gas and diesel engines. Oil consumption due to aged and hardened valve stem seals is reduced. No more blue exhaust smoke, improved emissions.
