Front Air Dam

Front Air Dam
Hi All, hope you are well. I was wondering if my '99 XK8 Conv should have a lower air dam, valance, under front bumper from factory build. As u know the car does sit low and quite possible if it had a valance, could be long gone by now.
I've stated in the past I think under hood temps seem to be hi. While temp ( idiot) gauge seems stable, cooling fans operate on q, I still think lower under hood temps would be a +. As an experiment I fabricated a under bumper air dam which scoops air upwarn in front of the radiator. My experiment seems to have a positive effect with yeaterdays 83 degree temp. ( usual New York ) area. ( idiot) gage was lower, under hood temps seem lower. I deem the success.
Now to the problem. I am sure you are aware of the low stance of a XK8. Yes u are right, the home made valance rubs on anything. I probably could cut the valance down a bit. A factory type would be better if you know one to exist.
thanks be to you all for your continued help, Rich
