Front Driver's Side Is Low
I've got a 1998 XK8 and the front driver's side only has a gap of about one inch between the top of the tire and the wheel fender. The right side is about two inches. Whenever I make a hard right turn, the left front wheel rubs on the fender. If I hit a dip, the left tire rubs on the fender. What could the issue be? Bad shock/strut?
Thanks in advance

Jamdmyers, if you decide to tackle the job email me for some pointers. I relearned way too much when i did mine last weekend. Guess i forgot lots of fine points ths reallt add up to time savings. Be glad to share.
New shock mounts and spring isolators will make a big difference, but will not compensate for a sagging spring.
You can add a spacer up to 3/8" thick between the shock mount and the seat. I made one from a plastic cutting cutting board.

sounds like you have a spring that is out of spring. My 03 sat like that on both sides. I did springs and the upper and lower bushings. But the combo of a new spring and upper mount most likely will fix it. Bigger question is should you do both sides though one seems good. Spending your money for you, I would do both sides, all of it if you are keeping the car long term.
Thank you, I'd done these 2 years ago but actually going through it again this winter with new shocks / springs! all parts arrived yesterday so it will be a busy week!
Remember to insert shocks into new springs before you start compression. I didnt and had to undo then start all over. They will not fit with spring compressors compressed.
Carefully align shock bolt hole with shock mount protruding bolts while compressed -can't be moved after release.
