Default ? Front strut brace UltraRacing fit XKR?

UltraRacing offers a front strut brace but their two suppliers don't seem to realize that what fits across the XK8 may not work on the XKR due to the intercoolers sitting atop the engine. Two local mechanics I asked were skeptical.

I'm going to get the rear anti-roll bar upgrade, and later the under braces for front and back if anyone else can attest to their effectiveness...

I have all three of the Ultra Racing upgrades you are considering. The fit quality is excellent & the fit is perfect. I have been told the strut brace will not fit our cars. If you find out I am wrong please let us know as I would love to add one.

The strut brace most definitely will not fit an R.

I think there are a few members with the braces, though I'm not sure how much difference they will wake to a coupe that is already more rigid.

I am interested in your opinion of the sway bar though, I had thought about doing the same when it comes time to re-bush the rear.

Default Front Brace Won't Fit XKR

It said it would on e-Bay but they lied, bought one, it isn't even close. Won't clear the intercoolers. Got the rear anti-sway bar, a few issues getting it to work with my poly bushings but otherwise it has been fine.

I agree on the rear sway bar. Is there any way the brace could be modified to fit?

Not easily, but I plan to look into that next year. The thing has to take a lot of force and cutting and then welding a bridge would be tricky and I doubt it wouldn't flex itself.

JgaXKR, are you a coupe or convertible?
Did you do all three at once at separate times? Impressions?
