Front Suspension
Just wanted to tap into the wealth of information available on this site. I am just doing some inspections on my recently acquired 2002 jaguar XKR. I was In the process of checking the engine cooling chamber behind the right hand side wheel, while doing this I noticed at the top of the front suspension spring a pink rubber type ring that looked very perished. Is this something I should be concerned about and should it be replace ASAP?
Thanks in advance for any comments or help.

I concur. Baxtor rebuilt my old shock mounts when my new mounts lasted a matter of weeks before going off centre. It's definitely a DIY job if you have a modicum of technical experience. There are probably quite a few people in your neck of the woods who have the better mounts.
I just installed new mounts from Wayne (cjd777)
He was more than helpful, new mounts included with donor housings. I don’t mess with springs, but a local shop installed them for $300. Car with 122200 miles rides great again.
I hope I never have to mess with them again.
