Default Fuel depressurisation & ‘quick’ release?

Trying to remove LH cam cover to change 2nd tensioner. Manual says remove fuel line, though not sure if I can wriggle it out without, anyway: Fuel pressure relief valve is not present as per manual for 2005 xkr x100 and quick release coupling on fuel line says special tool required. Any advice on work arounds?

The 'Special tool' can be bought for cheap: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/406555822424

Thanks. Cover off now without line removal but would appreciate any guidance on depressurisation valve/ method for future.

Me too. Within the last few months I changed the valve cover gaskets on both my 02 XK8 and 03 XJR and didn't need to disconnect fuel line. I've found the manual often has steps that can be worked around. For example radiator change instructions include evacuate freon and disconnect condensor. Can be done without these steps. Finding someone with tiny hands to start the bolts helps.
