Default Fuel Filler Cap

I noticed fuel on my cap. Tank is about 2/3rds full. The cap is about 6 yrs old. No diagnostic codes present. Should I be concerned?

On the outside of the cap , or on the magnet part ?

inside of the cap I would thing no problem. If on outside, then yes, replace it.

you are lucky never to have a "check gas cap" light come on.

Thanks. It's on the inside. I don't believe the "check gas cap" light was available on the early cars.
