I am...still....working on my chain, tensioner et al exchange...and I fitted it all, but didn't perhaps pay enough attention to fitting the VVT unit correctly...I didn't position it fully retarded before tightening...my cylindric tool with the two spikes/teeth doesn't fit. How important is that on the older models, mine is from 1998. So far I haven't turned on the engine, only turned by hand...and it goes smoothly...eventhough the primary chains go a little bit slack on every turn...is that normal.
I am planing to refit the sprockets and the VVT unit when I get to the garage next time..:-) any advice is most welcome
