Glove box won't unlock with black key

Glove box won't unlock with black key
Hi I have a 1997 xk8 and I locked my glove box with the black key but now it won't unlock . I have checked to make sure valet is off. Any suggestions out there.

I had trouble with my drivers door lock and the trunk lock when I first got my 98 XK8.
I shot a little WD40 in the key hole on both, and with a little wiggling they both freed up and operate.
Maybe the same for the glove box.
