Default Great app for iPad for XK8/XKR owners

Downloaded a great app from Jaguar World from iTunes. Articles on XKR and XK8 on comparisons, upgrades, maintenance and other great reading. After spending at little time with this book I feel good being a Jag XKR owner. App cost $7 and well worth it.

Default Ipad App for XK8

The App sounds interesting. But having difficulty finding it. Would you please give the specific title of the App to help me find it.
Is it an article from one edition of the Jaguar World magazine?
Merry Christmas
Graham

Type in Jaguar XK in the iTunes search window. The book title is Jaguar XK and has 146 pages of good information.

Default Ipad App for XK8

Thanks.
Found it and bought it.
Am particularly enjoying reading about the the project to buy an older XK8 and make it more reliable.

I bought it, but is there a way to read it on my laptop through iTunes or something? I don't have a pad, so right now all I can do is read it on my phone.

Make a copy of the app.

Change the name from Jaguar XK8 x.y.z.ipa to Jaguar XK8 x.y.z.zip (x.y.z is the version number).

Expand using WinZip (or anything else that expands zip files)

The expanded folder (Jaguar XK8 x.y.z) contains a folder called Payload, in that is a file called "jaguarxk8.app". On my mac, this file opens in Preview. On Windows you may be able to open it in anything that opens a pdf.

Thanks Chris, that made it readable on my Mac. However, I did lose the cool "reading a magazine" look and feel. Oh well, maybe I can steal the wife's iPad when she's not looking.

That book is also available via PocketMags.com for £4.99

They have ipad, android, Kindle Fire, PC and Mac viewers and you can access the magazines you buy from any device.

They also provide the JaguarWorld Magazine from England which is a good read. I subscribe which makes it heaps cheaper and quicker then having a magazine posted from the UK to Australia.

They have a good range of motoring and magazines
www.pocketmags.com

Enjoy.

Agreed. The actual reader is also a lot faster than Zinio, at least on Android.

I wish I could, but that BLASTED "viglink" thing gets in the way. I'm off to see if GreaseMonkey can help here otherwise I think I will probably trash this site, I won't tolerate these bottom feeder sites and hate it when the admins introduce them.

Jim

STOP PRESS! Once again, Firefox and Greasemonkey to the rescue and Viglink is now consigned to history, never to be linked via again. Out of respect to site admins I won't post the details, they have their reasons for routing all link traffic through such bottom-feeders I am sure.
