Default green shower recovery...

Experienced the "Green Shower" yesterday. Yea! I have already ordered replacement hoses. However I think the latch area cover is a total loss. Any ideas on a source for new ones? Also looking to replace the universal control and courtesy light bezel, as I doubt I can get all the oil out of it.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

pmc1907 - I've moved this post to the XK8/R section for greater visibility - folks who have experienced this phenomenon will be better able to advise. You may also want to check out the How to's at the top of the XK8/R section

Welcome to the initiation ceremony for those of us owning convertibles.

The overhead light and GDO is(I believe) horrendously expensive - it can be cleaned however- as said above, see Gus's pages for details. Not sure what you mean by the latch area cover? If it's the header you're referring to then it can easily be recovered, along with the door pillars at each side.$150 at an upholstery shop or less than ten bucks if you diy. There's a video on Utube of Rev.Sam recovering his.
