Default Green shower update

In the process of putting the XK8 back together after recovery from the"Green Shower". Couple of things: I purchased aftermarket hydrauliclines based on what other people had posted as negatives about the factorylines. The only drawback I came across is that if you go with aftermarketlines, you will also have to change the elbows on the locking block and thepump. This can add a couple of hours to the job overall. Also, I read wheresome people mentioned that you may not have to remove the center console.Unless someone has already messed with your Jag, you’re going to need to removethe center console. There are hose clips and areas where the lines are wiretied to the frame under the carpet.

Ok, so I have a question: On the passenger side behind the speaker grill Ifound this (see attached Pic). I think it is a thermocouple for the climatecontrol system. Can anyone Identify this?

Thanks in advance.

It is a wire antenna for the remote.

I have not been through a hose replacement, but I believe there are one or two vendors of aftermarket hoses that work with the existing elbows. Never made sense to me to have to change the elbows.

I used replacements from Top Hydraulics. A straightforward direct fit, even for the funny clip-connection for the RH lift ram
